About this role
Norwood is seeking a strategic and commercially astute Chief Finance and Information Officer to lead its Finance, Digital Services, Information Systems, Data and Technology functions at enterprise level.
Reporting to the General Manager and working closely with the Board and Senior Leadership Team, this role will influence Norwood’s strategic direction, commercial performance, governance, technology roadmap and long-term sustainability.
This is a broad executive role for a leader who can connect financial discipline with digital enablement, business intelligence, robust governance and practical technology-led improvement across a national network.
The Opportunity
- Lead financial strategy, planning, reporting, controls and commercial decision support.
- Set the direction for digital services, systems, data, business intelligence and technology platforms.
- Strengthen governance, statutory compliance, audit, tax, cyber security, privacy and business continuity frameworks.
- Support better enterprise decision-making through financial insight, data quality, systems improvement and emerging technology.
Key Accountabilities
- Contribute as a member of the Senior Leadership Team to strategy, performance, governance and sustainable growth.
- Provide enterprise leadership across finance, digital services, information systems, data and technology.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, reporting, cashflow, capital planning, investment analysis and commercial performance insight.
- Fulfil Company Secretary responsibilities, supporting effective Board administration, governance and statutory compliance.
- Lead systems optimisation, digital transformation, data capability and responsible use of AI and emerging technology.
- Build capable, service-oriented Finance and Digital Services teams through strong leadership, documentation, knowledge sharing and cross-training.
About You
You will be an accomplished senior leader with strong financial capability, sound commercial judgement and credible experience influencing strategy, governance and business-wide improvement. You may come from a CFO, finance leadership, commercial leadership or digitally enabled transformation background.
- Executive or senior leadership experience across finance, commercial management, digital services, technology or transformation.
- Strong capability in financial strategy, planning, reporting, controls, risk management and commercial analysis.
- Confidence working with Boards, executive teams and senior stakeholders.
- Experience improving systems, data, reporting, technology platforms or digital ways of working.
- A collaborative, values-led leadership style with the ability to simplify complexity, build trust and lead change.
Location and Travel
The position will be based in Christchurch, and regular national travel will be required.
