About this role

ASME Project Manager (or Project Manager for ASME Fabrication/Pressure Vessels/Piping/Plate) oversees the end-to-end execution of heavy fabrication, industrial construction, or pressure vessel manufacturing projects that strictly comply with American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) codes and standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Code Compliance: Ensure all design, welding, inspection, and manufacturing phases adhere strictly to ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Codes (BPVC) and regulatory frameworks.

- Project Delivery: Coordinate end-to-end execution from initial cost estimating and bidding through shop fabrication, testing, and final client delivery.

- Procurement & Resources: Procure raw materials, specialized equipment, and certified subcontractors required for heavy industrial or pressure boundary fabrication.

- Drawing Interpretation: Read and interpret complex engineering drawings, fabrication details, code requirements, and technical specifications.

- Scheduling & Budgeting: Maintain strict project timelines, manage resource allocation, monitor costs, and execute financial tracking.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Education: Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, Industrial Technology, or a related field (preferred).

- Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience in heavy industrial construction, metal fabrication, or pressure vessel manufacturing. Code experience managing ASME Fabrication / Pressure Vessels projects is typically required.

- Technical Skills: Strong familiarity with quality control standards, welding procedures (WPS/PQR), non-destructive examination (NDE) methods, and reading blueprint specifications.

- Soft Skills: Exceptional communication, organizational, and cross-functional leadership abilities to manage shop crews, clients, and quality inspectors.
