MRI Technologist - Per Diem

Beloit Health System is looking to add a Per Diem MRI Technologist to our Team!

- Shift: 1st & 2nd shift combination

- Schedule : 6:30 am - 9:00 pm (8-hour shifts within this timeframe)

- Hours per week: Varied - Per Diem

- Benefits Status : Not Eligible

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Per Diem MRI Technologist to join our Diagnostic Imaging team. The MRI Tech will perform high-quality magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedures while providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment. The ideal candidate is committed to patient safety, technical excellence, and collaboration with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and fellow healthcare professionals to deliver accurate diagnostic imaging services.

- Perform MRI examinations according to physician orders and established imaging protocols.

- Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the examination process and addressing concerns.

- Screen patients thoroughly for MRI safety, including implants, devices, and contraindications.

- Position patients appropriately to obtain optimal diagnostic images.

- Administer contrast agents in accordance with physician orders, departmental protocols, and applicable regulations.

- Monitor patients throughout procedures and respond appropriately to patient needs or emergencies.

- Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR) and PACS systems.

- Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare providers to ensure quality diagnostic outcomes.

- Adhere to infection prevention, patient safety, HIPAA, and hospital policies.

- Perform routine quality assurance checks and assist with equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.

- Participate in departmental meetings, education activities, and quality improvement initiatives.

- Assist with training and mentoring students and new team members as needed.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology or MRI Technology program.

- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)

- Registered in MRI within 18 months of hire

- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

- Strong knowledge of MRI safety standards and imaging protocols.

- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and patient care skills.

- Ability to work effectively in a team-based healthcare environment.

- Ability to prioritize workload and adapt to changing patient volumes and clinical needs.

- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

- Commitment to patient-centered care and service excellence.

- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.

- Reporting Relationship: Director of Medical Imaging. Clinical advisement is received from the Radiologist
