Finacle Techno-Functional Consultant

Experience: 10+ years in Finacle implementation, support, and enhancement projects within core banking environments

Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Finacle Techno-Functional Consultant with deep, hands-on expertise across the Finacle core banking ecosystem. The ideal candidate combines strong functional banking domain knowledge with technical proficiency in Finacle scripting and PL/SQL, and can independently diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues across CASA, Term Deposits, and Loans modules, along with batch (EOD/BOD) and API layers.

Key Responsibilities

Incident and Problem Management

- Perform rapid root cause analysis on production incidents and problem tickets, ensuring minimal business disruption
- Provide L2/L3 support for critical Finacle modules, driving fixes within defined SLAs
- Conduct trend analysis on recurring incidents to identify and resolve systemic issues

Configuration, Customization & Development

- Configure and customize Finacle parameters, products, and workflows to meet evolving business requirements
- Develop, debug, and optimize Finacle Scripts (FinScript/CI Scripts) and PL/SQL packages, procedures, and functions
- Design, build, and troubleshoot API integrations between Finacle and upstream/downstream systems (payment gateways, channels, regulatory reporting systems, etc.)

Batch & EOD/BOD Processing

- Monitor, optimize, and troubleshoot EOD/BOD batch jobs to ensure timely completion and data integrity
- Identify performance bottlenecks in batch processes and implement tuning solutions
- Support batch job scheduling, dependency management, and exception handling

Module Expertise

- Provide deep functional and technical support across CASA (Current & Savings Accounts), Term Deposits (TD), and Loans modules
- Understand end-to-end product lifecycles, interest/charge computation, and accounting entries within these modules

Stakeholder & Business Engagement

- Partner directly with business users, operations teams, and product owners to gather requirements, clarify issues, and translate business needs into technical solutions
- Communicate root causes, fix timelines, and workarounds clearly to non-technical stakeholders
- Participate in requirement discussions, impact assessments, and solution design sessions

Testing & Deployment

- Support System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) cycles, including test case preparation and defect resolution
- Manage deployment activities including migration scripts, rollback plans, and post-go-live monitoring
- Provide hypercare/post-implementation support to ensure stability after releases

Required Skills & Qualifications

- 10+ years of hands-on experience in Finacle core banking (implementation, support, or managed services)
- Strong command of Finacle Scripting (FinScript, CI/BC scripts) and PL/SQL
- Proven expertise in CASA, TD, and Loans modules (configuration, product setup, and troubleshooting)
- Solid understanding of Finacle EOD/BOD batch processing and job scheduling
- Experience with Finacle API/Integration framework (Finacle Connect, Web Services, or equivalent)
- Working knowledge of core banking architecture, interfaces, and middleware integration patterns
- Strong analytical and debugging skills with the ability to work under production-critical timelines
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to bridge technical and business teams
- Experience supporting UAT and production deployment cycles in a banking environment

Preferred/Good to Have

- Prior experience in a banking/financial institution or IT staffing/managed services setup
- Exposure to Finacle upgrade or migration projects
- Familiarity with ITIL-based incident/problem management processes
- Knowledge of regulatory reporting or compliance-linked Finacle configurations
