Insurance Specialist (m/f/x) Germany

Mutares SE & Co. KGaA, Munich ( www.mutares.com ), as a listed private equity holding company, acquires medium-sized companies in special situations, which show significant operational improvement potential and are sold again after undergoing a repositioning and stabilization process. Mutares actively supports its portfolio companies with its own investment and operations teams and through strategic add-on acquisitions. The focus is on companies with revenues ranging from EUR 100 million to EUR 750 million, across various industries. The aim is to achieve a clear value increase with a focus on sustainable, long-term growth of the portfolio company.

Your Tasks

- Collaborate with deal teams to review and negotiate insurance-related terms in purchase agreements
- Develop and implement insurance strategies to mitigate risks and enhance value creation opportunities throughout the investment lifecycle
- Coordinate with insurance brokers, underwriters, and carriers to secure appropriate insurance coverage for portfolio companies
- Support in the administration/renewal of insurance policies of Mutares Holding

Your Profile

- Successfully completed an apprenticeship or a Bachelor´s degree in the field of Insurance, Risk Management, Finance, Business Administration or similar with outstanding results
- At least 5 years of experience in the insurance industry, with a focus on insurance brokerage, underwriting, or risk management
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with an entrepreneurial mindset and hands-on approach
- Strong understanding of insurance products and coverage types to conduct insurance due diligence and negotiate insurance terms in the context of M&A transactions and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Business fluency in German and English, with the ability to communicate in a well-structured and concise manner
- Willingness to travel up to 20% and to work in an international environment
