About this role

We are seeking a high-caliber Assistant Vice President – Project Management & Governance to join our Group Risk & Regulatory ("GR&R") function. This is a strategic role responsible for driving and coordinating key enterprise-wide initiatives across risk management, regulatory compliance, governance, data and AI governance, privacy, security, and operational transformation.

Reporting directly to the Head of GR&R, the successful candidate will partner with senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to manage a portfolio of complex strategic projects, establish robust governance frameworks, and ensure successful delivery of critical business and regulatory initiatives.

Your new role

- Lead and deliver strategic, regulatory, and transformation projects across the Group from initiation to implementation within agreed objectives and timeline.

- Develop project plans, governance structures, milestones, resource requirements, and reporting frameworks.

- Monitor project progress, manage risks and dependencies, and drive timely resolution of issues.

- Coordinate and influence cross-functional teams across business units, technology, and control functions.

- Establish and maintain effective project governance and oversight mechanisms.

- Prepare executive presentations, dashboards, committee papers, and management reports for senior stakeholders’ review and decision-making.

- Support the development and implementation of enterprise-wide initiatives covering risk management, regulatory compliance, corporate governance, data governance, AI governance, privacy, security and operational resilience

- Conduct research, analysis, and industry benchmarking to support strategic planning and decision-making.

- Act as a key liaison between GR&R, business units, regulators, consultants, and external partners and influence project outcomes through strong stakeholder management

- Facilitate project meetings, workshops, steering committees, and stakeholder forums.

- Drive PMO excellence by enhancing project management methodologies, templates, and reporting standards.

- Identify opportunities to enhance operational effectiveness, governance practices, and project delivery capabilities.

To succeed in this role

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Risk Management, Law, Information Systems, Engineering, or related disciplines

- 8–12 years of experience in project management, consulting, governance, risk, compliance, transformation, or related functions

- Experience within financial services, telecommunications, technology, consulting, or other regulated industries is preferred

- Proven track record in delivering large-scale regulatory, risk, technology, or business transformation projects

- Holder of PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, Scrum, or equivalent project management certification preferred

- Certifications related to risk management, governance, compliance, data management, privacy, or AI governance is definitely a plus

- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, presentation, and communication skills

- Proficient in computer applications (MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

- Familiar with Power BI or other dashboard tools is a plus
