About this role

Designation: Safety Officer

Role Purpose
Responsible for ensuring compliance with EHS regulations, driving a strong safety culture, minimizing workplace risks, and maintaining safe and environmentally compliant plant operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Ensure compliance with OSH Code, Factory Safety, Environmental, and statutory requirements.

- Conduct HIRA/JSA, safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments.

- Manage Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems, including Hot Work, Work at Height, Confined Space, LOTO, and Contractor Activities.

- Investigate incidents, near misses, and accidents; implement corrective and preventive actions.

- Lead emergency preparedness, fire safety programs, and mock drills.

- Monitor occupational health, industrial hygiene, and environmental compliance.

- Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and awareness programs.

- Manage contractor safety and ensure adherence to site safety standards.

- Prepare EHS reports and support continuous improvement initiatives.

- Leading ESG/sustainability for the organisation.

Qualification & Experience

- Degree/Diploma in Engineering with PG Degree/Diploma in Industrial Safety (Government recognized).

- Degree Holder: Minimum 2 years of relevant factory safety experience.

- Diploma Holder: Minimum 5 years of relevant factory safety experience.

- Experience in manufacturing/automotive/engineering industries preferred.

- Experience in managing sustainability.
