At N-iX, our CTO Group helps clients solve complex technology challenges and turn cloud transformation into measurable business outcomes. We design and deliver modern cloud platforms, application modernization programs, and scalable cloud-native solutions for enterprise clients globally.

We are looking for a Senior Cloud Architect to join our Cloud Solutions team and lead architecture across strategic client engagements.

This is a client-facing architecture role combining cloud strategy, solution design, presales, discovery, and delivery leadership . You will work with clients from early-stage technology discussions and assessments through target architecture and transformation roadmaps to successful delivery.

We are looking for strong cloud architects with deep expertise in AWS or Microsoft Azure . You don't need to be an expert in every cloud – strong architecture fundamentals, engineering experience, and the ability to solve complex client problems matter more.

Responsibilities:

- Lead solution architecture across presales, assessments, discoveries, and strategic client engagements .

- Work directly with client stakeholders, including engineering leaders, CIOs and CTOs, to understand business goals and translate them into technology strategies.

- Design scalable, secure, resilient and cost-effective solutions on AWS and/or Microsoft Azure .

- Define target-state architectures and transformation roadmaps for cloud migration, application modernization and cloud-native development.

- Design architectures using modern approaches including microservices, containers, Kubernetes, serverless, APIs and event-driven systems.

- Define cloud platform foundations including networking, identity, security, observability, governance and landing zones.

- Lead technical workshops and architecture discussions with client and engineering teams.

- Shape solutions for RFPs/RFIs and strategic opportunities, including architecture, delivery approach, assumptions, risks and estimates.

- Work with engineering teams during project initiation and delivery to establish architecture principles, technical guardrails and governance.

- Perform architecture reviews and help teams resolve complex technical challenges.

- Contribute to N-iX cloud offerings, reference architectures, accelerators and reusable assets.

- Stay current with cloud and AI capabilities and help clients identify where emerging technologies can create practical value.

Requirements:

- 8+ years of experience in software engineering, cloud engineering or architecture roles.

- Strong hands-on architecture experience with AWS or Microsoft Azure .

- Proven experience designing and delivering enterprise-grade cloud solutions.

- Experience with cloud migration, application modernization or cloud-native transformation.

- Strong understanding of distributed systems and modern application architecture.

- Experience with containers and Kubernetes such as EKS or AKS .

- Good understanding of cloud networking, IAM, security, resilience, observability and cost optimization.

- Experience with Infrastructure as Code and modern DevOps/CI/CD practices.

- Ability to move between high-level architecture and detailed technical discussions with engineering teams.

- Experience leading technical workshops, discoveries or architecture assessments.

- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex technology decisions to both technical and business stakeholders.

- Upper-Intermediate/Advanced English.

We'd Especially Value:

- Experience across both AWS and Azure .

- Experience leading complex cloud modernization programs.

- Strong software engineering background.

- Experience with platform engineering and developer platforms.

- Experience designing AI/GenAI-enabled solutions using services such as Amazon Bedrock, Azure AI Foundry or equivalent platforms.

- Experience with FinOps, cloud governance and enterprise landing zones.

- Experience mentoring engineers or architects.

Certifications:

Relevant professional-level cloud certifications are an advantage, including:

- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional

- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305)

- AWS/Azure DevOps, Security or related certifications

- Terraform, Kubernetes or architecture certifications

- Anthropic Claude Architect or other AI-enabling certifications

Certifications are valued, but demonstrated architecture and engineering experience matters more .
