Role Summary

The Senior Specialist, Business Insights & Analytics (BIA) is a strategic analytics partner supporting commercial, marketing, and omnichannel decision-making across priority therapeutic areas. This role transforms complex internal and external data into  clear, actionable insights  that shape brand strategy, customer engagement, sales effectiveness, and business performance.

Acting as a  data translator , the Senior Specialist BIA bridges business needs with analytics, data science, market research, and technology teams. The role contributes actively to a  data-driven culture , ensures alignment with global analytics frameworks, and may mentor junior analysts while collaborating within the international BIA community.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Business & Commercial Insights

- Analyze current and historical performance data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks across brands, campaigns, customers, and channels.

- Provide fact-based recommendations to support  marketing strategy, sales execution, forecasting, and omnichannel effectiveness .

- Translate complex analytics into clear narratives tailored to senior and nontechnical stakeholders.

- Deliver ad-hoc analyses to support strategic and operational decision making.

2. Performance Measurement & Reporting

- Contribute to the design of  dashboards and standard reports  tracking KPIs related to brand performance, sales force effectiveness, and customer engagement.

- Ensure consistency and robustness of KPIs across therapeutic areas and functions.

- Monitor campaign, brand, and omnichannel performance, highlighting insights and opportunities.

- Continuously improve reporting processes in collaboration with IT, global teams, and external partners.

3. Advanced Analytics & Synthesis

- Leverage advanced analytics outputs (e.g. forecasting, segmentation, spend optimization) to enrich insights and recommendations.

- Partner closely with Data Science teams to contribute to or interpret predictive models when relevant.

- Support business planning and forecasting accuracy through analytical input and scenario analysis.

- Identify and integrate  new data sources  such as primary or secondary Market Research.

- Partner with IT, Data Stewards, and external providers to ensure  data quality, integrity, and governance .

- Support compliant data usage in line with local and global policies (e.g. GDPR, market research standards).

4. AI-Enabled Productivity & Insights

- Embraces AI as a core capability and proactively identifies opportunities to apply AI solutions to business challenges and operational processes.

- Champions the responsible adoption of AI, balancing innovation with governance, compliance, and ethical considerations.

- Uses AI tools to augment analysis, decision-making, content development, and workflow execution, improving team productivity and business impact.

- Contributes to and supports the design and implementation of AI-enabled solutions that deliver measurable value and accelerate business outcomes.

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Enablement

- Act as a trusted analytics partner to Marketing,  Sales and DHH Capabilities Enablement teams.

- Collaborate within the global BIA community to share best practices and ensure strategic alignment.

- Contribute to data literacy initiatives and mentor junior analysts where applicable.

Qualifications & Experience

- Master’s degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Data Science, or related field

- 5+ years in analytics or data analysis (regulated industry preferred)

- Commercial, marketing, or sales support experience required; pharma/healthcare a plus

- Advanced skills with Excel, SQL, Tableau, Power BI; Python/R knowledge is beneficial

- Working knowledge of AI and Generative AI technologies, including responsible and compliant use within a business environment.

- Experience leveraging AI tools to improve productivity, analysis, content development, and decision-making.

- Ability to interpret complex data, deliver actionable insights, and communicate effectively

- Strategic problem solver with strong business acumen and storytelling skills

- Collaborative team player experienced across business and technical teams

- Adaptable and willing to learn new tools and approaches

- Professional English for global collaboration is required; fluency in local language is preferred
