At Thermo Fisher Scientific, our   General Management (GM) Summer Associate   program is designed to be a strategic pipeline for future leadership talent.   GM Summer Associates   who   demonstrate   exceptional performance, leadership potential, and alignment with our values   will   be considered for   the   full-time   General Management Graduate Leadership Development Program (GM GLDP)   during their   Summer   with us to begin post- graduation .

P otential p lacement into   the   GM Summer Associate   and the   GM GLDP   is based on business needs and organizational priorities at the time of selection.   Onsite and in-office work is an essential function of this role and a requirement of the position.

Strategic Business Impact

The   GM   Summer Associate   program is a   10-week   position   set to occur between   June 14 , 2027 –   August 20 , 2027.   All projects will have significant strategic and/or operating importance to the business to which they are assigned.

For this role,   Summer   projects may include the following responsibilities:

- Operations & Manufacturing Plants

- Commercial & Sales

- Research & Development

- Products & Services

- Annual Operating Plans

- Customer Channels

Compensation & Relocation

The   GM Summer Associate   program   offer s   an hourly rate   of   $ 55.00 .   If eligible , a relocation stipend is offered   in the amount of   $5,000 . Students must be   located   50+ miles away from the physical location of the internship to be eligible for the relocation stipend.   Please note that   GM Summer Associates   are required to   have a reliable mode of transportation to and from their assigned work location   for the duration of their   Summer with us .

What We Look For

Academic Background & Work Experience:

- MBA   student completing   their   degree   between   December 2027 – June 2028   with an Undergraduate degree in one of the following: Business, Biology, Bioengineering, Biomedical Engineering, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Economics, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or related field of study.

- 3+   years   work experience post-Undergraduate degree – ideally gained in large, forward-thinking, global organizations. Experience in Life Sciences or STEM-related industry   required .

- 1+   years   experience   managing direct reports.

Leadership Profile:

- Proven leadership experience   with   a   track record   of influencing others, leading initiatives, driving results, and creating positive impact within teams and organizations.

- Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity, adapt to changing priorities, and solve complex problems.

- Evidence of grit, resilience, and perseverance when facing challenges, setbacks, or competing priorities.

- Strong learning agility, intellectual curiosity, and a n   innovative mindset .

- Excellent interpersonal communication skills and emotional intelligence, with the ability to build relationships across diverse teams.

- Geographic mobility and flexibility   required   to pursue internship and future career opportunities in locations aligned with business needs.

- Onsite and in-office work is an essential function of this role and is   required   throughout the program and in future placements to support collaboration across businesses, functions, and locations.

Compensation and Benefits
The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in Massachusetts is $50.00–$65.00.
