Specialist - Planning

Job Scope

The Specialist - Planning is accountable for developing forecast models associated with customers and products while incorporating market and internal data to predict demands and optimize the flow of inventory. S/He works closely with the sales, marketing, logistics and other internal stakeholders to align forecasts and process customer orders accordingly.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

- Analyze the market, forecast product demands, set sales and supply plans by country of operation;

- Control and manage supply and inventory at all levels;

- Provide the supply chain team with relevant reports and data for planning related activities and meeting customers’ demands;

- Coordinate, on a regular basis, with the sales and marketing departments seeking demand drivers and generating updated data assumptions;

- Review and evaluate forecast results, inventory and sales performance and report periodic metrics to concerned;

- Manage and process customers’ order in accordance with forecasted demands;

- Fulfill orders once released from credit;

- Update customers and internal stakeholders on order backlogs and information;

- Work with logistics, sales and credit teams to ensure order fulfilment in a timely manner;

- Handle customer complaints in coordination with concerned departments;

- Manage CRM system, tools and processes and optimize workflows to increase effectiveness.

Position Requirements

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics or any other related field

Experience

Requirements

- Minimum 3–4 years of relevant experience in Supply and Demand Planning.

- Strong Demand Planning experience , including volume management and a good understanding of distribution channels in Egypt.

- Experience in Supply Planning , including inventory planning, warehousing operations in Egypt, and the development of supply plans.

- Strong control, reporting, and analytical skills .

- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and hands-on experience with ERP systems .

- Previous experience within the FMCG and/or Distribution industry is a must .

- Experience managing or planning for Apple products is highly preferred.
