About this role

Key Responsibilities

- Lead monthly and annual close activities including account analysis, recurring and non-recurring journal entries, accruals for unbilled vendor expenses, and preparation of supporting schedules

- Reconcile monthly bank statements to the general ledger, researching and resolving discrepancies and preparing necessary correcting entries

- Own reconciliation of various accounts including prepaids, accruals, payroll, accounts receivable, and accounts payable; serve as the escalation point for unresolved variances. Prepare and file sales tax calculations, ensuring compliance with multi-state and international requirements. Manage payment processing for international operations, coordinating with local finance teams to ensure accuracy and timeliness. Serve as point of contact for external and internal auditors, managing requests end-to-end to keep audit timelines on track. Completes other accounting tasks as needed including assisting with special projects on an ad hoc basis.

- Collaborate cross-functionally with Treasury, FP&A, Tax and Operations to support broader finance initiatives

Required Education and Experience

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

- CPA preferred

- 3 - 5 years experience in financial environments

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

- Firm grasp of intermediate and complex accounting principles

- Proficient Excel abilities (i.e., Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, sumifs, etc.)

- Eager to learn and operate in a virtual group setting using Microsoft Teams

- Ability to meet deadlines on a consistent basis

- Comfortable with using or learning necessary systems:

JDE – general ledger/ERP system

- Comfortable handling and storing confidential financial information

- Close attention to detail and deadlines

- Ability to compile professional and thorough accounting reports

- Ability to analyze information in an objective and nonbiased manner

- Respects and understands Sarbanes-Oxley rules
