Expo/Food Runner
We are looking for a motivated Expo/Food Runner to join our team!
You are great at managing multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment. With special attention to the details, you care about performing quality work and overall contributing to a friendly and productive team atmosphere.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and coordinate the preparation and delivery of food orders from the kitchen to the dining area, ensuring timely and accurate service.
- Inspect dishes to ensure they meet the restaurant's quality standards and presentation guidelines before they are served to guests.
- Verify that each order is complete and correct, including any special requests or dietary restrictions.
- Act as a liaison between the back-of-house and front-of-house, communicating any delays, changes, or issues with orders.
- Assist servers and kitchen staff as needed, including running food, clearing plates, and restocking supplies.
- Maintain a clean and organized expo station, following all health and safety regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing any guest concerns or issues promptly and professionally.
- Quickly identify and resolve any issues that arise during service, such as incorrect orders or delays.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Basic knowledge of food safety and handling
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- The Expo may be exposed to hot and cold temperatures, as well as potentially slippery surfaces.
