Job Title: Project Manager
Reports To: VP, Operations

Job Overview

As a Project Manager, you'll be responsible for planning, executing, and closing projects that align with our company's goals and improve our services to members, employer groups, brokers, and healthcare providers. This role requires prior experience within the health insurance industry and the ability to lead initiatives involving health plan operations, regulatory compliance, and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time, within scope, and on budget

- Define project charter and develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and budgets

- Identify and manage project risks and issues

- Delegate tasks, responsibilities, and target dates for projects

- Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project and project team

- Facilitate communication between stakeholders, team members, and leadership

- Coordinate and facilitate meetings, create meeting agendas, and meeting notes

- Ensure compliance with healthcare and health insurance regulations and internal policies

- Monitor project progress and make adjustments as needed

- Prepare and present project status reports to leadership

- Partner with leadership and Operations Analyst to identify and pursue Six Sigma/Rapid Process Improvement projects

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field

- 5+ years of project management experience within the health insurance industry required

- Demonstrated experience managing projects related to health plan operations, claims, eligibility, customer service, provider relations, compliance, or other health insurance functions

- Experience with self-funded health plans, third-party administration (TPA), or employee benefits administration strongly preferred

- PMP certification preferred

- Strong understanding of health insurance industry trends and regulations, including ERISA, IDOI, DOL, HIPAA, and other applicable governmental regulations

- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills

- Proficiency in project management software and tools

- Six Sigma/Lean Sigma background a plus
