Goodwill Southwest Florida is seeking a friendly and dependable Donation Door Attendant to provide exceptional service to donors and support the efficient flow of donated goods. This front ‑ line role is essential in creating a positive first impression by greeting donors, receiving and recording donations , and ensuring items are sorted and processed according to established guidelines . The ideal candidate is customer ‑ focused, adaptable, and ready to assist with a variety of tasks that help keep our retail operations running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet donors warmly and receive, record , and sort donations in accordance with Kaizen guidelines.
- Provide excellent customer service while representing Goodwill as a front ‑ line team member.
- Assist with processing , cleaning , and preparing merchandise to support efficient store operations.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe donation and work areas, completing additional tasks assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Experience in retail and/or stock handling preferred
- Ability to stoop, reach, twist, lift, push, pull and move items; independently lift and carry a minimum of 40 pounds and team lift up to 100 pounds .
- Comfortable with standing for long periods of time and the possibility of occasionally working where temperatures and climate can fluctuate .
- Able to see and recognize colors .
- Knowledge of basic math skills.
