Position Overview:

We are seeking an motivated Access Control / Security Integration Field Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience installing, servicing, and troubleshooting electronic access control systems, electronic lock hardware, IP CCTV, intrusion alarms, and related low-voltage equipment. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in the field.

Key Responsibilities:

- Install, program, and service access control systems (e.g., HID, Mercury).

- Install and configure security cameras, NVR/DVR systems, and video management software.

- Wire and terminate low-voltage cabling (CAT5/6, composite cable, etc.).

- Mount and connect electronic door hardware (maglocks, strikes, electrified locks, request-to-exit devices, etc.).

- Perform system testing, commissioning, and customer training.

- Troubleshoot and repair faulty equipment and wiring.

- Read and interpret Floor Plans, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.

- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, materials used, and system configurations.

- Follow company safety procedures and industry standards (OSHA, NEC, NFPA, etc.)

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

- Able to stand for extended periods of time.

- Able to lift up to 80lbs.

- Ability to work in various weather elements.

- Ability to use various hand tools

- Able to communicate in a friendly and professional manner to customers and team members.

- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Management, co-workers and customers.

- Ability to stay out of town for a week at a time if the project requires.
