The Principal ERP Consultant is responsible for leading complex ERP implementation projects and providing strategic guidance to clients to ensure successful ERP system deployment. This principal role involves managing high-profile client relationships, overseeing large-scale projects, and driving process optimization across various business functions. The Principal ERP Consultant also provides thought leadership and mentors junior consultants, contributing to the growth of the consulting practice.
A Typical Day in the Life Includes:
- Manage complex ERP implementation projects, ensuring alignment with client business objectives and project goals
- Collaborate with senior client stakeholders to understand business requirements and design strategic ERP solutions
- Oversee ERP system configuration, customization, and optimization to meet client-specific needs
- Develop and execute test plans, ensuring the system meets business requirements and quality standards
- Advise clients on ERP best practices and strategies to enhance system performance and optimize business processes
- Manage project risks and issues, ensuring timely resolution and project success
- Mentor junior consultants, providing guidance on complex project tasks and career development
Basic Qualifications:
- Experience leading ERP implementation projects and managing large-scale client engagements
- ERP systems and business processes experience across areas such as finance, HR, or supply chain
- Experience collaborating with senior leadership and clients to develop and implement strategic ERP solutions
- Experience with system configurations, customizations, and troubleshooting technical challenges
- Experience in business process optimization and providing strategic ERP advisory services
- Flexible to work in shifts
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud-based ERP systems or SaaS solutions
- Experience with advanced integration tools and platforms (e.g., middleware, EDI)
- Experience with project management methodologies such as Agile or Waterfall
- Certifications in ERP systems or project management
- Industry-specific ERP implementation and best practices experience
