About this role

Job Responsibilities

Organizes and monitors inventory, loads and unloads materials,   documents   orders and manifests.

- Assist   with all shipping, receiving, and inventory organization efforts

- Help to efficiently carry   out all product loading and unloading tasks

- Receive and process new inventory, ensuring contents match manifest documents

- Inspect receivables for defects, damages, or missing items

- Unload, stack, move, and place products in appropriately designated areas

- Move and transfer products between various sections of the warehouse as needed

- Use forklifts, pallet jacks, hand carts etc. to transfer and deliver goods

- Perform detailed manual inventory counts

- Label warehouse stock for quick and easy identification and retrieval

- Stack, shelve, and stage items for storage and shipment as necessary

- Fulfill and track outgoing orders

- Collect, prepare, package, and label goods for shipment

- Loa d   and stra p /b and   totes   and /or d rums   in   containe rs for   ov ers e as   shipment

- L oad   and   unload   from   dry   van s,   containers,   and fl at beds

- Double-check items to verify accuracy of outgoing orders

- Operate floor sweeper

- Ensure tools and equipment are kept clean and in working order

- Report any equipment malfunctions or issues to upper management

- Follow all warehouse policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs)

- Adhere to all health and safety rules and regulations

- Wear protective clothing and equipment as   required

- Operate tools and machinery safely and efficiently according to company protocol

- Work with other warehouse team members to effectively complete assigned tasks

- Duties related to Hazardous Waste Management

- Assist   wi th sta ging   traile rs, v ans, or t ankers   in   docks   or   loading a reas   as n eeded   via y ard mule

- Performs other duties as assigned

Candidate   Qualifications / Requirement s

- Previous   experience with shipping/receiving hazardous materials   preferred

- Familiar with hazardous material manifesting requirements

- Previous   warehouse experience preferred

- Forklift certification and/or ability to successfully complete forklift training

- Yard   mule   experience   and/or experience   backing   in   trailers   preferred

- Excellent verbal communicator

- Computer literate

- Familiar with common warehouse tools and equipment

- Thorough, alert, and detail-oriented

- Dependable and responsible

- Strong work ethic

- Comfortable working independently

- Makes safety a priority

Physical & Work Requirement

- Must be able to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel,   crouch   or crawl and talk or hear.

- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision,   depth   perception   and the ability to adjust focus.

- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 lbs.

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts

- High, precarious places

- Fumes or airborne particles

- Outside weather conditions

- Contribute to other projects and plans not specifically noted to reach divisional objectives
