Job Responsibilities
The Chemical Operator is responsible for maintaining safety, plant production, operating efficiency and regulatory compliance
- Follows and encourages others to follow all organizational safety rules and practices.
- Fosters & maintains a positive work environment.
- Performs basic tasks interacting with pumps, pipes, valves, and HMIs to prepare and charge material into the manufacturing batch process.
- Operates a forklift to load/unload trailers and transport materials.
- Performs basic lab testing.
- Count s and report inventory daily and assist monthly inventory counts.
- Folows and perform lock out tag out (LOTO) for maintenance work on equipment.
- Maintain work area in a clean, organized, and safe environment.
- Maintain accurate records including batch sheets, lab data entries, and shift turnover documents.
- Recommends methods to improve production methods and equipment.
- A ssists others in troubleshooting problems.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Candidate Qualifications/ Requirements
- Basic computer literacy.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Previous chemical plant experience preferred.
- Ability to climb steps, stairs, and ladders on a repetitive basis.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations necessary for position’s essential duties.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Reliable transportation for attendance required .
