About this role

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Communicate job requirements and responsibilities to drivers.

- Day to day scheduling, supervision and guidance and submitting evaluation reports to management. Managing Monthly Drivers’ schedule.

- Managing driver concerns, reports, logging and reporting to Executive Director

- Oversee dispatch daily routine and duties,

- Oversee and handle all disability applications

- Coverage emails to NET

- Form 5 with RITS riders, logging Form 5 recipients

- Conduct on-the-scene accident investigations; assist drivers in preparing accident reports, and safety violations documents.

- Develop and host driver training and safety courses as needed; train new drivers and retrain drivers involved in accidents or with recurring violations.

- Observe drivers on the road - correct safety problems on the scene while documenting violations.

- Liaison between both the drivers, customers and the district with customer service concerns.

- Evaluate and monitor driver safety and performance in compliance with district policies and state law.

- Assist The Executive Director and Assistant Executive Director with all DOT/FTA compliances – drug testing.

- Drive routes periodically. Overtime is permitted only when drivers cannot fulfill assignments.

- Driveway checks for ADA and Dial a ride services

- Other duties as required.

Qualifications:

- High School Diploma or GED

- Excellent interpersonal & communication skills

- Subject to DOT drug testing and physical. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.

- Must have S, V, A or F personal passenger endorsement.

- Supervisory experience required.

Physical Requirements:

- Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.

- The employee is generally subjected to long periods spent sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen.

- Work environment will be a combination of both indoors and outdoors.
