Position Summary
The Shop Hand is responsible for completion of daily duties related to the general shop and facility upkeep and maintenance; performing standard facility maintenance; and assisting in the loading and unloading of company vehicles and equipment.
Essential Job Functions
- Operate forklift to move products and materials, ensuring placement in correct areas.
- Complete inventory daily to ensure products and supplies are well stocked.
- Ensure cleanliness of equipment and the shop environment.
- Assist in the loading and unloading of supplies and equipment.
- Maintain proper documentation of tools and materials.
Qualifications
Skills and Qualifications
- High school education or equivalent.
- Valid forklift certification.
- Ability to uphold company safety standards.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work in extreme weather and physical conditions.
- Prior experience in light industrial environment preferred.
- General mechanical knowledge preferred.
