About this role

OVERNIGHT HOURS FOR POSITION 8:30PM-5:30AM

Objective

To build a stable, driver friendly pallet that is easy to count, have barcodes facing out, and have no items buried within the pallet. Ensure a smooth check in process for the driver in the market. Responsible for pulling product to guarantee that all the trucks are loaded in a timely manner, so that all the drivers can start their day without any delays.

Responsibilities/Expectations

- Safety is always first in everything that you do.

- Always face the direction of travel .

- Slow down and sound horn at all intersections and blind corners.

- Always stay at a safe distance, minimum 3 pallet spaces away, when a pallet is being lowered.

- Fill out your inspection form and perform a thorough pre-trip inspection on pallet jack/forklift.

- Report to work on time as scheduled.

- Must be pallet jack certified.

- Must be forklift certified.

- Must always wear seatbelt on forklift.

- Must always take care of company equipment.

- Good attitude always.

- When overtime is required, either shorthanded or during key holiday periods, no one can leave until all tasks are completed.

- Must be clean shaven and have proper hygiene.

- Must be in proper uniform, including steel toed shoes.

- Must face barcodes out so that receivers can scan each package in the market.

- Must tie in cases so that the pallet is stable enough to be transported to the account.

- Responsible for calling beer down when picking the last case on that pallet and remove the empty pallet.

- Once pallet layers are no longer even, a picker must straight stack the items being picked.

- Must wrap pallets when needed to ensure that no product is dumped during the picking process.

- Must perform an accurate case count to be able to move on to the next pallet.

- Must be able to lift cases that weigh up to 25-30lbs. and kegs that weigh 160lbs.

- Must be able to work at a steady pace with lots of heavy lifting.

- After 120 days, expectation is to pull at established shift average.

- Must place damaged cases on the damage cart or pallet.

- When you make a mess – clean up after yourself always.

- At the end of your shift each day perform a thorough cleaning up of the warehouse.

- When time allows at the end of the night – Replenish the pick lines.

- Report all issues to the shift supervisor immediately.

Qualifications

Position Requirements

- Electric riding pallet jack experience preferred but not necessary.

Education Requirements

- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
