Goodwill Southwest Florida is seeking a detail ‑ oriented Quality Control and Pricing Specialist to support our mission by ensuring donated goods are processed efficiently , accurately , and with great customer care . The ideal candidate is dependable, adaptable, and committed to maintaining high standards in sorting, pricing, and preparing merchandise for the sales floor. This role plays a key role in creating a positive experience for donors and shoppers by following established guidelines, meeting production goals, and assisting across various areas of the production process as needed .
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, sort, and record donated goods according to established Kaizen guidelines and processing standards.
- Inspect items for quality, determine appropriate pricing using the pricing guide, and prepare merchandise for the sales floor.
- Maintain accuracy and efficiency to meet or exceed daily production goals while supporting continuous process improvement.
- Provide excellent customer service to donors and shoppers, including assisting as a donation attendant when needed.
- Cross ‑ train and support various areas of the production process to ensure smooth operations across the team.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, following all operational and safety procedures.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to stoop, reach, twist, lift, push, pull and move items; lift and carry a minimum of 40 pounds .
- Comfortable with standing for long periods of time and the possibility of occasionally working where temperatures and climate can fluctuate .
- Able to follow pricing guidelines established in the pricing guide.
