About this role

Coordinate with business partners for EH&S concerns regarding facilities and employee practices.

- Will have responsibility for engineering & operations safety.

- Organize and maintain EH&S policies to achieve and maintain compliance with regulations.

- Manage relationships across other specialized departments to achieve and maintain compliance with EH&S regulations and requirements.

- Under the direction of the Safety Manager support and implement safety programs including, but not limited to, contractor safety, confined spaces, Job Hazard Assessment, electrical safety, lockout/tagout (LOTO), fall protection, machine guarding, powered industrial vehicles, cranes/hoist, training, fire & life safety, ergonomics and others as assigned by management.

- Monitor, administer, evaluate, and coordinate company EH&S programs to ensure a safe workplace.

- Develop and advise employee workplace programs related to safety (Testing, Manufacturing, etc.).

- Coordinate confirmation of policies and programs in accordance with industry and government regulations.

- Collaborate across departments to achieve and maintain consistency of health safety program implementation.

- Conduct regular site inspections for compliance with EH&S programs.

- Serve as EHS representative for assigned building and functional safety council.

- Conduct injury investigations and root cause analysis, develop corrective actions and track to completion.

- Lead projects to promote health and safety of Raytheon employees and contractors.

- Contribute to the development and implementation of EH&S strategic initiatives that drive continuous improvement.

- Provide instructor led training on various safety topics.

- Provide support for other site EH&S programs (Engineering, Operations, Ergonomics)

- Support the site to meet EH&S requirements for upcoming internal and external audits including ADOSH VPP, and other internal company assessments.

Qualifications You Must Have:

- Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 3 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 2 years experience

- 3 years of applicable experience with a focus on safety.

- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer:

- Previous experience working in a government contractor environment

- Experience and the application of regulatory EH&S requirements.

- Experience accurately diagnosing general and complex EH&S issues related to operations, determine appropriate or practical controls, and implement practical and effective solutions in a timely manner.

- Experience working with databases and use of other information gathering systems.

- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Associate Safety Professional (ASP).
