Project Coordinator

Flynn Group of Companies is currently seeking a Project Coordinator to join our Victoria Branch (located at 6836 Kirkpatrick Crescent, Saanichton BC). A Day In The Life

- Work with the Site Supervisor & Project Management team in scheduling, coordinating and tracking deliveries

- Attend hand off & autopsy meetings

- Work with PM and Estimator to prepare a comprehensive material list for the project

- Assist the PM in preparing takeoffs and estimates for change orders

- Issue submittal packages, samples, bonds and insurances

- Fill out warranties and send close out packages

- Assist Project Managers throughout the lifecycle of the project (ie. forecasting, planning, analysis, etc)

- Responsible for all product securement and invoice processing for the Production Department

- Contacting and negotiating product prices with suppliers, while also staying current on all new products by participating in educational opportunities

- Establishing and maintaining relationships with suppliers, while also maintaining a data base of any past, present, or prospective suppliers

- Working with Projects Managers and Superintendents to order materials to site as needed

- Invoice Management, accurate and timely processing of invoices

- Keeps information accessible by sorting and filing documents appropriately

What We Are Seeking

- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a purchasing, administrative or project coordinator role, preferably in the construction and/or manufacturing industry

- Strong analytical thinking, planning and negotiation skills are required; attention detail

- Excellent organizational and communication skills

- Advanced knowledge of MS office suit

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be a team player
