Newport Beach Country Club is a private country club, established in 1954 and the host to the PGA Tour Champions annual Hoag Classic golf event. We offer our members a premiere 18-hole parkland golf course experience with ocean views.
We are seeking individuals who enjoy working outdoors, take pride in their work, and have a positive attitude.
Principal Job Responsibilities:
- Learns the basics of golf course set up; including cup changing, tee set-up, bunker raking, mowing and irrigation
- Utilizes a variety of hand tools for trimming, raking, digging, cultivating, grading, weeding, pruning, and planting
- Becomes proficient in the use of string trimmers, edgers, blowers, hedge trimmers, and landscaping
- Will safely operate light powered equipment to mow greens, tees, collars, fairways and rough
- Assists in special projects including aerification, top dressing, drainage installation, and sod work
- Assists in miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned by the Golf Course Superintendent and Management team; and
- Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices
