About this role

POSITION: IT Support Technician
LOCATION: Parow

PURPOSE OF JOB
The main purpose of this role is to ensure that the internal end-users are supported as well
as the Installation and maintenance of company hardware, software, networks, and infrastructure
to ensure business sustainability and good end-user experience.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

- To set up and manage user accounts and permissions to consent access to a network.

- Setting up the Organizations computer system to meet specific business requirements.

- Monitoring day to day computer performance.

- Update and maintain the computer inventory and equipment.

- Maintain and resolve issues on LAN/WAN, VoIP telephone, biometric, Printer, AV systems connections.

- Ensure desktop computers interconnection seamlessly with diverse system keeping in mind for compatibility factors.

- Coordinate with vendors to resolve technical problems with desktop computing equipment and software.

- Resolve hardware and network connectivity issues.

- Assist in technical upgrading and maintaining of entire desktop systems.

- Support in testing and deployment of new applications and systems.

- Manage Office 365 services such as OneDrive, Microsoft Teams, Outlook etc.

QUALIFICATIONS, COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS

- Matric

- Microsoft Certifications, CompTIA A+, CompTIA N+

- 5+ years experience as a Desktop Support Technician, Network Support Technician, Systems Administrator, or similar role

- Have a good understanding of Office 365 and its applications and be able to communicate with knowledge and confidence to clients about our products and how they have been implemented.

- Experience with Microsoft Windows desktop operating systems and desktop software installation, troubleshooting, support & maintenance

- Experience with Microsoft 365 tenants & associated management & support

- Networking knowledge of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, SNMP, SMTP, FTP, HTTP, HTTPS.

- Network security administration experience.

- Ability to Install, maintain, optimize, and configure software, including Windows operating systems and settings.

- Good communication skill and ability to liaise across all levels of the organization.

- Ability to work independently and as part of team.
