The Role

As a Project Planner, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and monitoring detailed project schedules that support the overall project objectives. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, and construction, to ensure all project phases are planned accurately and risks are proactively managed. Your contributions will support decision-making processes and help drive project efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop comprehensive project plans and schedules using industry-standard tools and methodologies adapted to offshore production projects.

- Monitor and update schedules regularly to reflect project progress, identifying potential delays and implementing corrective actions in collaboration with project stakeholders.

- Analyse resource allocation and capacity to optimise planning and support project delivery milestones.

- Provide detailed reports and forecasts to project management, highlighting critical path activities and key performance indicators.

- Facilitate schedule-related communication across multidisciplinary teams to ensure transparency and alignment on project status and next steps.

- Contribute to risk identification and mitigation planning related to scheduling and resource constraints.

- Support continuous improvement initiatives by proposing enhancements to planning processes, tools, and standards.

- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry best practices, and sustainability principles in all planning activities.

Qualifications and Competencies

- Proven experience in project planning, preferably within the offshore engineering or energy sector.

- Strong technical acumen with the ability to interpret complex engineering and construction data.

- Excellent adaptability to dynamic project environments, demonstrating decisive and solution-oriented decision-making skills.

- Open and effective communication style fostering collaboration and reliability within multidisciplinary teams.

- Proficiency in project management software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or equivalent scheduling tools.

- Understanding of sustainable project management practices and commitment to their application.

- Fluent in English; additional languages are advantageous.

- Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related technical discipline is preferred.
