Forklift Operator

General Shale, Inc., the nations leading manufacturer of brick and masonry materials, is seeking a Forklift Operator to support operations at our Wilmington, NC sales and distribution center. This role is ideal for a safety-conscious individual with forklift experience who enjoys hands-on work and providing excellent customer service.
Position Overview:
The Forklift Operator is responsible for supporting daily yard and distribution operations, loading and unloading materials, preparing products for delivery, and assisting customers. This position plays a key role in ensuring efficient operations while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily yard operations including loading and unloading trucks using a forklift (Hi-Lo)
- Safely handle and move product manually as needed
- Prepare materials for customer pickup and scheduled deliveries
- Provide professional and courteous customer service
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe yard area
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support distribution operations
Qualifications:
- Previous forklift (Hi-Lo) experience required
- Ability to interact professionally with customers and the public
- Ability to perform physical tasks including bending, stooping, and lifting
- Basic computer skills preferred
- Dependable with a strong work ethic and commitment to safety
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift, bend, stoop, and perform manual handling of materials throughout the workday
