About this role
The San Francisco Chronicle is looking for a reporter to join our breaking news team. This paid, 12-week internship will receive training and mentoring but also hit the ground running, covering a variety of stories from the office and in the field. Breaking news is the main focus, but there will be opportunities to pursue projects aimed at engaging our audience and to work closely with our data journalism, developer and audience teams. The ideal candidate will hustle and be quick to a story. We are looking for a reporters who enjoys jumping on any and every story that comes up, whether it’s in the areas of weather, criminal justice or public health.
