Shah Development, LLC is seeking a dependable, experienced Pipe Layer to join our growing construction team. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, hardworking, and takes pride in delivering high-quality underground utility installations.
Responsibilities:
- Install underground water, sewer, and storm drainage pipe according to plans and specifications.
- Prepare trenches and ensure proper grade, alignment, and bedding of pipe.
- Assist with excavation, backfilling, and compaction.
- Read and interpret blueprints, grade stakes, and project layouts.
- Work safely around heavy equipment and communicate effectively with operators.
- Perform routine inspections to ensure proper installation and compliance with project requirements.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, safe worksite.
- Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a pipe layer or in underground utility construction preferred.
- Knowledge of water, sewer, and storm drainage systems.
- Ability to read construction plans and use grading tools is a plus.
- Experience working around excavators, loaders, and other heavy equipment.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing in and out of trenches, and working in various weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
- Valid driver's license required
Competitive pay based on experience. Pay Range: $22.00 - $30.00
