POSITION   SUMMARY

The Maintenance Technician   provides   expertise   for equipment installation, start- up   and maintenance of plant equipment .

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND   RESPONSIBILITIES

Additional   duties and responsibilities may be   assigned,   as necessary .

Preventative Maintenance (50%)

- Perform routine tasks such as greasing bearings, changing belts, changing oil, performing inspections, cleaning equipment,   etc.   to   maintain   equipment reliability.

- Support production workers during routine preventative maintenance   activities; ( TPM ).

Equipment Repair (40%)

- Installs,   repairs   and   maintains   machinery and mechanical equipment.

- Dismantle machinery to remove or replace defective parts .

- Optimize   use of maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies needed to repair equi p ment to OEM standards.

- Repair facility and building items as needed.

Equipment Troubleshooting (5%)

- Identify   complex electrical,   mechanical   and pneumatic problems on   production   machinery and facility equipment .

- Locates sources of problems by   observing   machinery in operation.

- Utilize tools to isolate malfunctioning equipment (ex . Multimeter , tachometer,   callipers , etc. )

Administrative (5%)

- Log all work performed into the Company CMMS.

- Complete end of shift reports communicating between maintenance and production departments.

- Order replacement parts for stock or parts for repair.

- Performing housekeeping, making sure   area   is clean at all times .

REQUIRED   SKILLS &   QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience:

- High school diploma or equivalent .

- Minimum of 1 year experience   maintaining   and repairing equipment in a manufacturing environment .

Specialized Skills and Experience :)

- Good English language skills both verbal and written (Spanish speaking a plus).

- Good   computer skills including Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, Outlook) .

Travel Requirement:

- Occasional travel   as   required .

Physical Requirements:

- Must pass pre-employment   physical .

- L ift:   Must be able to lift and/or carry a minimum of   50   pounds.

- Push/Pull :  Must   be able to push/pull 5 0   pounds.

- Stand :  Must   be able to stand   80% - 85%   of the day.

- Sitting :  Must   be able to sit   25%   of the day.

- Twisting/Bending :  Must   be able to twist/bend   75 % of the day .

- Squatting,   Climbing   and/or Crawling:   Must be able to squat/climb/crawl 25% of the day .

- Able to work on heights, climb several flights of stairs (over 5 stories) daily if required .
