About this role
PrideStaff is recruiting an experienced Senior CNC Programmer for a top-tier manufacturing client to take ownership of complex machining processes. This hands-on role focuses on driving process optimization, cycle time efficiency, and precision quality in a high-mix aerospace environment.
The Role
Programming & Setup: Develop, test, and debug Mastercam programs (G-code/M-code) for 3, 4, and 5-axis mills, lathes, and mill-turns with live tooling.
Process Optimization: Drive continuous improvement and cycle time reduction by optimizing feeds, speeds, and toolpaths. Conduct cutting tool evaluations, cost analyses, and implement new machining technologies.
Shop Floor Collaboration: Work directly with machinists and engineering teams to prove out and revise programs at the control, ensuring flawless production runs and strict adherence to GD&T tolerances.
Documentation & Tooling: Create detailed set-up sheets, comprehensive tool lists, and assist in designing custom tools and fixtures as manufacturing demands.
What You Bring
Industry Experience: 5+ years of CNC programming in an aerospace or high-precision environment, plus 3-5+ years of hands-on machining operation and setup.
Software Mastery: 5+ years of proven Mastercam experience required. Proficiency with Catia and SolidWorks is highly desirable.
Material Expertise: Extensive background machining Inconel, Titanium, Stainless Steel, Aluminum alloys, Copper alloys, and non-metallics (Delrin, Nylon).
Precision Metrology: Fluency in technical drawing interpretation, advanced GD&T application, and the use of precision measuring instruments (calipers, bore gauges, micrometers).
Requirements: Must be a highly organized, collaborative team player. US Citizenship is required.
Compensation & Perks
Competitive Pay: $35.00 – $50.00+ per hour, depending on experience, with regular merit and performance evaluations.
