Working Environment and Location
This position is 100% onsite in Tralee, Ireland.

Role and Responsibilities
- Responsible for the administration, support, maintenance, and continuous improvement of QC laboratory computerized systems and automated laboratory equipment. The role ensures reliable, compliant, and secure operation of laboratory systems, supporting laboratory operations, data integrity requirements, system integrations, and regulatory compliance within a GMP environment.
- Provide technical ownership and lifecycle management of QC laboratory systems and automated laboratory equipment.
- Support administration, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of laboratory platforms including Empower, LabX, LIMS, and instrument control software.
- Manage system integrations between laboratory instruments, enterprise applications, Active Directory, and site IT/OT infrastructure.
- Coordinate system patching, upgrades, backup and recovery activities in line with site procedures and vendor recommendations.
- Support qualification, validation, change control, periodic review, and audit readiness activities for laboratory computerized systems.
- Develop and maintain system documentation, administration procedures, support guides, and asset inventories.
Essential Qualifications
- Third-level qualification in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Automation, or a related discipline, with experience supporting computerized laboratory systems in a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical/biotech environment.
- Experience with laboratory applications such as Empower, LabX, LIMS, CDS, and ELN, including laboratory instrument connectivity, system integrations, and IT/OT networking.
- Strong Windows Server, Active Directory, user management, security, and system administration skills, with proven troubleshooting capability across software, hardware, network, and instrument communication issues.
