About this role
Team description
You'll join SumUp's Finance Leadership Team at a pivotal moment for our business in Brazil, Latin America and the wider Americas region, taking on end-to-end financial oversight across a fast-growing, highly regulated market. You'll report to the VP Finance Operations and work closely with FP&A, Treasury and Global Tax, with the Tax Compliance and Corporate Treasury teams in Brazil reporting directly to you. This is a rare opportunity to build a high-performing regional finance function from a position of real influence, shaping governance, controls and financial strategy across one of SumUp's most important markets.
What you'll do

- Partner with FP&A, Treasury and Global Tax to strengthen forecasting, liquidity management, capital allocation and tax execution across the region
- Own governance and compliance, including audits, financial statement integrity, credit risk oversight, and adherence to global and local statutory requirements
- Take on formal statutory responsibilities within the first 6 to 12 months in the role
- Build and develop a high-performing finance organisation, working closely with local Americas leaders and teams
- Bring deep Financial Services expertise to guide the region through regulatory, tax and operational complexity
You'll be great for this role if…
- Proven finance leadership experience across Brazil and/or Latin America, ideally within Financial Services, Payments, FinTech or Banking
- Strong knowledge of Brazilian statutory, tax and regulatory requirements, including experience overseeing audits, filings and tax risk
- Solid understanding of credit risk, with the ability to provide governance and oversight in this area
- Ability to partner with FP&A on forecasting, KPIs and performance analysis, alongside a working knowledge of treasury, cash flow and liquidity management
- Track record of leading cross-functional finance teams across complex, multi-market environments, with strong executive stakeholder management
