Transportation Logistics Specialist

Job Requirements

We are looking to fill a role as a Transportation Logistics Specialist supporting our Centralized Transportation Planning (CTP) department by ensuring seamless operational functions and focus on critical tasks such as appointment scheduling, order entry, tracking and tracing shipments and maintaining clear communication with carrier partners and customers. This is service driven and customer focused.

THE BASICS:

· Schedule: Friday through Monday 7am to 5pm

· Location: Ephrata, PA

WHAT YOU DO:

· Support all operational needs within the CTP Department

· Provide timely and accurate updates to both internal and external customers and partners

· Monitor freight activities including pickups, deliveries and shipment in transit

· Verify pickup and delivery details using Sunrise Logistics Inc. (SLI) TMS

· Utilize SLI technology to help enhance customer and carrier experience

· Other duties as assigned by management

WHAT YOU BRING:

· High School Diploma or Equivalency required

· Experience within the transportation industry preferred

· A detail oriented, self-started with a desire for growth and excellent customer service

· Proven experience in effective planning and problem solving

· Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and have high attention-to-detail

· Procedural mindset with ability to prioritize and efficiently manage high email and call volume

· Ability to communicate effectively with customers via email and phone

· Ability to perform, collaborate, and effectively work with others in a team-based environment

· Strong interpersonal, organizational and problem-solving skills

· Computer-savvy with a working knowledge of logistics software (ERP) is preferred
