An awarding winning design/b uild general contract or specializing in residential and light commercial remodeling, is seeking a Full-Time Production Lead Carpenter (Mon-Thurs – 4/10s) . Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Overall responsibility for the day-to-day execution and management of assigned remodeling and/or construction projects, including sub-trades and crew members.
- Represents the company as the on-site client liaison and advocate, resolving issues as they arise and/or setting them up for proper resolution and seeing them through.
- Collaborates with the relevant Design, Sales, and Production team members to ensure a thorough understanding of the design, scop e and specifications t hroughout the duration of the project.
- Manages and monitors job costs and workflow to ensure each project meets or exceeds the anticipated budgeted costs and is completed within the anticipated scheduled timeframe . This includes documenting progress by completing daily log s; and using established company cost cod es , a ccurately coding all labor (and ensuring o ther team members do the same) using our time-tracking system; and accurately coding all material invoices and submitting them to the office weekly.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required .
- Minimum five (5) years of residential remodeling or construction experience, including experience leading projects, crews, or jobsite activities.
- Strong carpentry skills with experience in both rough and finish carpentry.
- Experience leading projects, subcontractors, and/or field personnel.
- Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, scopes of work, and contracts.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Working knowledge of residential building codes and construction practices.
- Proficiency with smartphones, tablets, Buildertrend , or similar construction software.
- Ability to provide excellent customer service and maintain positive relationships with clients and trade partners.
- Ability to understand construction drawings, scopes of work, specifications, contracts, drawing notes, and business correspondence.
- Must be an excellent judge of quality.
- Strong sense of urgency and ab ility to work within deadlines.
- Valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, and reliable transportation.
- Dress and groom neatly and professionally.
