Automotive UVI/Accessories Technician

Lum's Auto Center, Inc. is hiring an Automotive UVI/Accessories Technician in Warrenton, Oregon, specializing in used vehicle inventory reconditioning and the installation of suspension systems, wheels, tires, vehicle enhancements, and other approved aftermarket accessories.

This role prepares vehicles for retail sale and customer delivery by performing UVI inspections, mechanical repairs, reconditioning, and accessory installations. The technician will identify and correct mechanical, safety, fitment, and installation issues while ensuring completed work meets OEM specifications, manufacturer requirements, and dealership quality standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Perform Used Vehicle Inventory (UVI) inspections and reconditioning to prepare vehicles for retail sale

Diagnose and perform approved mechanical repairs, adjustments, and component replacement identified during the UVI process

Identify safety, mechanical, fitment, and condition issues requiring correction before a vehicle is retail-ready

Install lifts, leveling kits, suspension components, tires, wheels, and related accessories

Install additional approved accessories such as steps, racks, lighting, and performance upgrades

Perform alignments, calibrations, and post-repair or post-installation inspections as required

Follow OEM and accessory manufacturer specifications, repair procedures, torque requirements, and safety standards

Diagnose, correct, and document mechanical, fitment, installation, or reconditioning issues

Accurately record labor time, parts used, and work performed

Maintain shop tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition

Coordinate with Service Advisors, Sales, Used Vehicle Management, and Parts to prioritize work and meet inventory and vehicle delivery timelines

Ensure reconditioned vehicles meet dealership mechanical, safety, quality, and retail-readiness standards

Ensure all completed work is properly documented and vehicles are road-ready before release

Compensation Structure

Flat-rate compensation based on experience, certifications, and performance

Eligible for technician pay progression and internal advancement opportunities

Qualifications

Automotive technician experience required
Experience with suspension, lifts, tires, wheels, or aftermarket accessories strongly preferred
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
Ability to read and interpret technical instructions and installation documentation
Valid drivers license with acceptable driving record
Ability to safely lift and maneuver heavy components
ASE certifications preferred but not required
