Position Summary
X-Bow Systems is seeking a detail-oriented Configuration Management Analyst to support the accuracy, control, and traceability of product, supplier, procurement, engineering, and program information throughout the complete product lifecycle.
This role is responsible for maintaining configuration data, coordinating change-control activities, managing engineering and program documentation, supporting procurement processes, and ensuring that approved information is accurately reflected across business systems. The analyst will collaborate closely with Configuration Management, Supply Chain, Quality, Operations, Engineering, and Program Management teams to maintain data integrity and support organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain configuration management activities throughout the complete product lifecycle, including development, production, sustainment, modification, and retirement
Maintain part numbers, product records, bills of materials (BOMs), specifications, revisions, and related configuration documentation
Support the creation, review, approval, release, and retirement of configuration records
Maintain product baselines and ensure that approved configurations are properly documented and traceable
Coordinate change requests, change orders, deviations, waivers, and other configuration-related actions
Track change status, approvals, implementation dates, affected products, and related documentation
Research and resolve configuration and data-quality issues with appropriate stakeholders
Identify and help resolve missing, outdated, duplicate, or incorrectly released engineering and program documents
Resolve discrepancies involving part numbers, revisions, and descriptions
Maintain configuration status reports, dashboards, metrics, and action-item trackers
Participate in change-control meetings, configuration control boards, program reviews, data-cleanup activities, and process-improvement initiatives
Develop work instructions, process documentation, templates, and user guidance
Provide training and user support for configuration, document-management, PLM, ERP, and procurement systems
Maintain confidentiality of company, supplier, customer, and program information
Support audit performance and closure of documentation or configuration findings
Desired Skills and Qualifications
Experience: 2–4 years in configuration management, document control, data management, procurement operations, supply chain, program support, or related analytical function
Records Management: Demonstrated experience maintaining structured records, databases, spreadsheets, document repositories, or business-system data
Process Knowledge: Familiarity with change-control, version-control, document-control, baseline-management, or approval processes
Technical Proficiency: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and traceability
Organizational Skills: Ability to organize, prioritize, and track multiple activities and deadlines
Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills
Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external suppliers
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field
Experience supporting product lifecycle management (PLM) or configuration management activities
Experience controlling engineering documents, program documents, or customer deliverables
Experience with PLM, ERP, document-management, procurement, or supplier-management systems
Experience maintaining bills of materials, part catalogs, supplier records, product data, or controlled documentation
Hands-on experience with systems such as Costpoint, Teamcenter, Windchill, Arena, Agile, SharePoint, or similar platforms
Experience preparing reports, dashboards, document-status reports, or data-quality analyses
Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100, IATF 16949, or other quality-management standards

Working Conditions
Work Environment: Primarily remote or office-based in Luling, Texas
Remote Work Requirements: Employees working remotely must maintain a suitable workspace and reliable internet connection
