Responsibilities What You’ll Do as a Mobile Fleet TechnicianYou’ll work in the field supporting fleet operations by helping maintain safe, compliant, and reliable equipment across the enterprise. This role is focused on reducing downtime, supporting crews in the field, and ensuring company equipment stays operational and repair-ready.Perform routine scheduled preventive maintenance on off-road equipmentDiagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues using approved diagnostic toolsComplete minor to moderate repairs on company fleet assetsIdentify and report safety or compliance concerns related to equipmentDocument all field service work through internal work order systemsCoordinate with Fleet Coordinators on repair scheduling and shop assignmentsSupport fleet-related projects, equipment upgrades, and operational initiativesAssist operations teams with out-of-service units to reduce downtimeMonitor and troubleshoot telematics and dashcam hardwareTrain crew-level leadership on operator-level maintenance practicesSupport cost savings initiatives and warranty recovery opportunitiesTravel frequently to field locations and work independently with minimal supervisionFollow all company safety standards, OEM guidelines, and regulatory requirements Qualifications What You BringHigh School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experienceMinimum of 3 years of experience as a mobile mechanic, equipment technician, or similar maintenance roleBoom certification or 3+ years working with booms and open to certificationStrong understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systemsAbility to work independently in field environments with limited supervisionValid driver’s license and ability to meet company driving requirementsAbility to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writingExperience using computers, handheld devices, and Microsoft Office toolsBasic mechanical tools and troubleshooting knowledgeStrong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving abilitiesProfessionalism and ability to build trust with field teams, leadership, and vendorsFlexibility to adapt to changing priorities and travel demandsPreferred QualificationsExperience supporting construction or utility service vehiclesOEM diagnostic software experienceCDL licenseBilingual Spanish speaking and writing skillsPhysical DemandsAbility to:Lift or move up to 50 lbs.Stand, walk, and work outdoors for extended periodsWalk on uneven terrain and around active job sitesReach, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb into fleet vehicles or equipmentPerform repetitive hand and arm movementsWork in varying weather conditions and temperaturesSafely operate tools, handheld devices, and diagnostic equipmentWork EnvironmentMajority of work is performed outdoors and in the fieldExposure to moderate to loud noise levelsFrequent exposure to changing weather and environmental conditionsCombination of field and office-based responsibilitiesTools & EquipmentEquipment and tools may include:Diagnostic software and handheld diagnostic devicesBasic mechanical hand toolsMicrosoft Office and fleet documentation systemsCompany fleet vehicles and service equipmentTelematics and dashcam systemsWhat We OfferBenefitsCompetitive pay $28 - $40Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP)Paid training and development opportunitiesHealth, dental, vision, and HSA options401(k)Paid time offEmployee Assistance Program (EAP) People Promise Our commitment to Our People is key to the success of our business.
