About this role

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Technical Responsibilities

Possess and maintain a developing knowledge of engineering principles, practices, procedures, and industry standards related to electrical power systems, instrumentation, controls, automation, SCADA, and protection and control systems.

Responsible for:

- Performing assigned engineering tasks under the direction of senior engineers and project leads.

- Supporting preparation of EIC engineering deliverables for assigned projects.

- Assisting with engineering calculations, specifications, drawings, and technical documentation.

- Applying company standards, client requirements, and applicable industry codes.

- Participating in technical reviews and incorporating review comments.

- Coordinating assigned work with engineering team members and designers.

Electrical Engineering Responsibilities

- Assist in the development of electrical deliverables utilizing vendor documentation, equipment specifications, and construction requirements.

- Support the development of design deliverables and power system studies

- Support equipment specification development and vendor evaluations.

Instrumentation & Controls Responsibilities

- Support instrumentation and controls engineering activities.

- Assist in development of I&C design deliverables.

- Support review and development of P&IDs.

- Assist with instrumentation selection and specification activities.

- Support vendor package reviews and procurement activities.

Project Execution & Coordination

- Participate in project meetings and technical reviews.

- Communicate project status and technical issues to project leadership.

- Complete assigned engineering tasks within budget and schedule requirements.

- Assist with resolving technical issues and documenting project decisions.

- Support proposal and scope development activities as assigned.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

- Basic understanding of engineering principles related to electrical power systems, instrumentation, and controls.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Effective verbal and written communication skills.

- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.

- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to learn applicable codes and standards including IEEE, NFPA, ISA, NEMA, API, and ANSI standards.

Technical Expertise

- Basic understanding of MV and LV power distribution systems.

- Familiarity with electrical and instrumentation drawings.

- Familiarity with electrical and instrumentation drawings.

- Understanding of basic instrumentation and control system concepts.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or another industry-related field required

- Minimum of 2-5 years of industry-related experience

- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred or ability to obtain.

Salary Range : $87K-$110K
