About this role
What You Will Be Doing:
- Act as a tactical partner to business stakeholders as it relates to key initiatives and proactively mitigate legal and compliance risks, investigating and addressing employee relations concerns effectively.
- Actively execute and make informed decisions within established policies, enhancing employee experience by creating solutions within existing frameworks.
- Participate in organizational design conversations to streamline and implement new department structures, roles and/or processes that create speed and efficiency and support rapidly shifting business demands (role re-purposing, restructures, joint venture integrations, etc.)
- Act as the subject matter expert for FMLA, CFRA, state protected and personal leaves, managing precise tracking, eligibility determinations, and return-to-work timelines.
- Manage reasonable accommodation and leave requests, coordinating with stakeholders to implement effective return-to-work and transitional work plans.
- Coach employees on company policies, employee communication, development and performance management strategies and tactics to promote engagement and a culture of continuous growth and development.
- Develop close partnerships with functional teams to deliver integrated solutions to related needs.
- Provide performance management guidance to management (counseling, career development, disciplinary actions, etc.)
- Find innovative ways for leaders and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and efficiency.
- Leverage metrics and analytics to inform strategies, measure progress against organizational goals.
- Execute and identify change management strategies to support critical evolution of the business and achieve desired business results that are sustainable over time.
- Partner with People colleagues to identify key talent segments and pivotal roles.
- Use employee lifecycle data to help the business make informed decisions about talent management strategies.
- Conduct stay and exit interviews for store leadership, analyze trends, and recommend actionable solutions based on findings.
- In partnership with the People Team's centers of expertise, lead and design specialized training programs where your expertise adds significant value.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of HR policies and procedures as needed.
