Job Summary

The Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for completing maintenance assignments to build, repair, and maintain all plant equipment in optimal operating condition. The goal is to minimize downtime and associated costs while accurately hitting plant safety and production milestones.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment. Dismantle devices to remove, adjust, or replace defective parts.

Electrical & Automation: Troubleshoot, design, upgrade, and install electrical circuits, systems, and components. Troubleshoot and repair input/output devices utilizing PLC systems.

Fabrication & Shop Work: Set up and operate shop machinery (lathes, drill presses, grinders, band saws, cutting torches, welders, etc.) and utilize pneumatic/hand tools to modify or repair parts.

Preventative Maintenance: Take a proactive approach to equipment reliability and uptime; perform and document assigned work orders and PM logs.

Maintenance Technician Key Responsibilities:

Troubleshoot, repair, design, and install mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC input/output devices

Set up and operate shop machinery (lathes, drill presses, grinders, band saws, welding/cutting torches) and utilize hand/pneumatic tools

Take a proactive, preventative maintenance approach to improve the reliability and uptime of all equipment

Operate the cooling water and wastewater systems in compliance with EPA regulations

Perform and document work orders, preventative maintenance tasks, and update required paperwork (maintenance logs, manuals, drawings, PM logs)

Operate forklifts and hydraulic working platforms safely as needed

Follow all applicable ISO, Safety, Health, and Environmental rules and guidelines

Comfortable in a heavy manufacturing environment (wet/humid conditions, dust, fumes, noise, risk of electric shock) and willing to wear all required PPE

Maintenance Technician Pay: $26.00 - $32.00/Hour (Depending on Experience) Maintenance Technician Shift: 2nd Shift | 3:00pm - 11:30pm | Monday – Friday

This role focuses on maximizing equipment reliability and uptime, minimizing costs, and meeting plant safety and production goals.

Maintenance Technician Key Requirements:

Technical School Degree, Associate's Degree, or equivalent professional experience

Minimum 2 years of experience in key manufacturing maintenance areas (Electrical, Mechanical, PLC Troubleshooting, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Welding/Brazing)

Strong reading comprehension, basic math/statistical skills, and intermediate MS Office skills

Ability to stand for most of the shift, work at heights exceeding 30 feet, lift up to 55 lbs. frequently, and occasionally handle up to 250 lbs.
Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $24.00 - $26.00
