## About the Role
We are looking for a Chartered Accountant with 1–2 years of post-qualification experience to join our Finance team as a Finance Manager . The role involves managing day-to-day accounting, financial reporting, statutory compliances, reconciliations, audits, and month-end closures. The ideal candidate should be hands-on, detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast-paced fintech/SaaS environment . This is an opportunity for a CA who wants to take end-to-end ownership of accounting and finance operations and grow into a broader finance leadership role.
## Key Responsibilities

1. Accounting & Month-End Closure

- Manage day-to-day accounting and ensure accurate and timely recording of transactions.
- Own monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities.
- Prepare and review journal entries, provisions, accruals, prepaid expenses, and other accounting adjustments.
- Perform GL scrutiny and ensure timely closure of open items.
- Ensure books are maintained in accordance with applicable accounting standards and company policies.

2. Reconciliations & Financial Reporting

- Prepare and review bank, vendor, customer, GST, TDS, and other balance sheet reconciliations.
- Investigate and resolve reconciling items and aged balances.
- Prepare monthly MIS and financial reports for management review.
- Prepare schedules and workings for financial statements.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.

3. Statutory Compliance

- Manage and review GST, TDS, and other applicable statutory compliances.
- Coordinate with tax consultants and ensure timely filing of returns and payments.
- Track statutory dues and proactively address potential interest, penalties, or compliance gaps.
- Support tax assessments and related queries.

4. Audit & Financial Statements

- Coordinate with statutory auditors and support completion of annual audits.
- Prepare audit schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
- Track audit observations and ensure timely closure.
- Assist in the preparation and finalisation of financial statements and notes to accounts.
- Coordinate with auditors, consultants, and internal stakeholders on accounting matters.

5. Accounts Payable & Receivables

- Oversee vendor accounting, invoice processing, and payment-related accounting.
- Monitor customer receivables and support collection reconciliations.
- Ensure timely reconciliation of customer and vendor ledgers.
- Review credit notes, outstanding balances, and ageing reports.

6. Controls & Process Improvement

- Strengthen accounting processes and internal financial controls.
- Identify opportunities to automate repetitive accounting and reconciliation activities.
- Develop and maintain SOPs and accounting checklists.
- Ensure proper documentation and audit trails for financial transactions.
- Identify accounting risks and proactively highlight issues to management.

7. Business & Management Support

- Work closely with Operations, HR, Sales, and other teams on finance-related matters.
- Provide financial data and analysis to support management decision-making.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and other finance initiatives.
- Handle ad-hoc financial analysis and finance projects as required.

Key Skills & Competencies

- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Good knowledge of GST, TDS, and statutory compliance.
- Strong reconciliation and analytical skills.
- Good understanding of Ind AS / applicable Accounting Standards.
- Ability to independently identify and resolve accounting issues.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, and basic financial modelling .
- Ability to work with accounting/ERP systems.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Qualifications & Experience

Mandatory

- Chartered Accountant (CA) – ICAI.
- 1–2 years of post-qualification experience in accounting/finance.
- Strong practical exposure to accounting, reconciliations, audit, and statutory compliance.

Preferred

- Experience in a fintech, SaaS, technology, or high-growth company .
- Experience working with ERP/accounting systems.
- Prior experience handling statutory and financial audits.
- Experience in process improvement or finance automation.
