HR Generalist (CN,JP,KR,TW,AU)
Location: Shanghai
The Role
The HR Generalist is a key contributor to the HR team in providing day-to-day HR operations and services in the ASPAC region. The incumbent will work closely with the HR Business Partner to support the full employee lifecycle, HR policies and procedures, and learning & development functions.
What you will do:
- Provide Regional HR support to China Commercial, Japan, Korea, Taiwan and Australia teams, in close consultation with HR Business Partner.
- Support the end-to-end onboarding and offboarding process.
- Ensure timely completion of necessary process such as new hire induction, enrolment/termination of insurance, trainings and documentation.
- Issuance and preparation of letters and correspondences (E.g. employment certification without salary information, confirmation, probation extension, transfer, years of service, KUDOS award etc.)
- Maintain all necessary documentation in the employee's personnel files.
- Process annual health checks and re-employment(ad-hoc) health checks for employees, in coordination with insurer/service provider.
- Calculate overtime hours and submit to payroll processing in a timely manner;
- Preparation and update of country-level public holidays as per official gazette, for validation and changes to be reviewed as applicable.
- Participate in HR projects to drive operational performance and simplified to enhance employee experience.
- Work with Finance and new vendors to set-up vendor account in the system. Follow-up and ensure invoices are paid on time.
- Be part of the HR team to organize staff events and ad-hoc recreational activities, including but not limited to year-end party, engagement and CSR activities.
- Coordinate NPPR including raising PO/PR, payments as applicable for insurance, medical check , legal consulting fees, training fees)
- Other ad-hoc HR Related duties.
What you need to have:
- Minimum Degree in Human Resources or related field
- At least 5 years of relevant HR experience working in matrix organization.
- Nice to have some knowledge of HR laws in Japan, Korea and Australia.
- Positive attitude with strong sense of collaborative spirit to work with different functions.
- Basic knowledge of employee engagement frameworks.
- Highly meticulous and culturally sensitive to understand and meet the different needs of employees in the assigned locations.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
- Demonstrates creativity, adaptability, and problem-solving ability in dynamic environments.
- Proficient in English both written and spoken.
- Proficient in MS Office applications and HRIS system (Workday or SuccessFactors).
