General Function:

Perform a wide range of inspection functions in accordance with approved procedures and/or instructions

Primary Responsibilities:

- It is every BPM, Inc. Employee’s responsibility to be aware of and work with Belvac’s current documented Quality Management System as it pertains to their job requirements
- Perform a wide range of inspection functions in accordance with approved procedures and/or instructions.  These functions include but may not be limited to:
- Receipt Inspection to include staging of parts and materials
- In Process Inspections
- First piece
- Final
- Final Inspection
- Assembly Inspection
- Process Surveillances
- Other duties as assigned

Skills and Knowledge Required to Perform Job:

Basic Inspection Skills:

- Able to perform basic inspection using Micrometers, Calipers, Indicators and basic hand gauges
- Basic Blueprint Reading
- Basic Math skills
- Basic knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing
- Basic PC skills
- Microsoft Windows
- IFS & Receipt inspection databases
- Performing inquiries on ERP systems
- Perform and document process surveillance activities

Coordinate Measuring Machine Skills:

- Load and run programs on Direct Computer Control (DCC)-CMM
- Manual CMM operation knowledge a plus

Education:

- High school graduate or GED

Experience:

- 2 years of experience as a quality inspector in a manufacturing environment or machinist. Equivalent education may be acceptable in lieu of experience.
- Ability to work all shifts and travel on a continuous seven-day work cycle if needed
- A working knowledge of Mathematics, Geometry and Trigonometry
- Basic CMM skills
- Visual acuity to perform inspection, read gauging and perform visual inspections

Physical Activities Required to Perform Job:

- Manual lifting may be required of items up to 35 pounds. (proper lifting techniques)
- Extended periods of time standing.
- Must be able to bend and kneel freely.


Pay Range: USD 17.63 - 29.17 Hourly
