Shipping Associate - Parts

Ampco Pumps is a fast-growing manufacturer of centrifugal and positive displacement pumps used in the food and dairy industries, desalination, and various chemical and industrial applications.

We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented individual for our Shipping Associate-Parts position. This individual will assist in the parts shipping duties using established policies and procedures as defined by Ampco Pumps. A self-starter with experience is desired, but willing to train the right candidate.

Duties/Responsibilities

- Pull parts accurately to fulfill customer orders.

- Package orders adequately to prevent shipping damage.

- Label parts and packages for shipment.

- Record weight and dimensions of each package.

- Complete and maintain all required paperwork, exercising strong attention to detail.

- Create shipments in ERP system.

- Process shipments using UPS WorldShip.

- Communicate regularly with customer service, purchasing and production departments.

- Follow all safety policies and maintain departmental housekeeping standards.

- Other duties as assigned.

- Must be able to perform and use mathematics daily.

- Ability to understand and follow both written and oral instructions and comprehend shipping paperwork.

- Must be reliable and dependable with strong communication skills.

- Must excel in accuracy and efficiency, with close attention to detail.

- Ability to problem solve, prioritize and multi-task.

- Ability to work well alone and with a team in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements

- Ability to stand, walk and reach above shoulders.

- Ability to lift/move parts and/or packages of various sizes, up to 50 lbs.

Education/Experience

- High school diploma/GED

- Prior warehouse/manufacturing experience preferred.

- Forklift certified a plus.
