POSITION: Lead Mechanical Design Engineer (MBD)

What You Will Do:
- Manage the design and development of mechanical systems and components to meet customer requirements.
- Use CAD software (Siemens NX) to create 3D models utilizing model-based definition/design principles.
- Conduct feasibility studies, trade studies, and prototyping activities.
- Analyze and evaluate designs for strength, durability, and performance.
- Lead cross-functional teams such as manufacturing, quality control, and suppliers.
- Support production, testing, and validation of prototypes and final products.
- Continuously improve design processes and methodologies.
- Stay current with industry standards and regulations.
- Mentor and train junior engineers.
- Represent the company in customer and industry meetings.
What You Will Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 6-9 years of experience in mechanical design engineering.
- Extensive knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and mechanical design.
- Proficiency in CAD software such as Siemens NX (preferred) and/or AutoCAD, SolidWorks
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Good organizational and time management skills.

Pay Range: $80000 - $95000
Compensation decisions are made based on factors including experience, skills, education, and other job-related factors, in accordance with our internal pay structure. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and retirement plan.
Work Requirements:
We offer flexible work options, including hybrid arrangements, to support the need of the role and align with company policies. This position is located in Windsor, CT and can be considered hybrid after the initial onboarding period.
- You must be able to commute to and from the location with your own transportation arrangements to meet the required working hours.
- Shop floor environment, which may include but not limited to extensive walking, and ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
