Join Our Team:

Esse Health is currently seeking a part-time Medical Assistant for our O'Fallon Pediatrics office located at 9979 Winghaven Boulevard!

Opportunity:

- Part-time opening

- Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

- Staff shares rotating covering of a Saturday morning shift approximately once a month

- No nights or holidays

- Outpatient clinical practice

- Not benefit eligible

Day-to-Day:

- Perform back office functions

- Assist the provider in the interviewing, examination and treatment of patients

- Measure vital signs such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight and height

- Document patient care accurately and efficiently in the electronic health record (NextGen)

- Coordinate care with other members of the healthcare team

- The MA will also be cross-trained to cover the front desk including:

Performing patient check-in/check-out

- Scheduling patient appointments

- Collecting co-payments

- Verifying insurance

- Registering patients/update patient demographics

- Answering the telephone

- Balancing monies at day end

Who we are seeking ( preferred ) :

- The Medical Assistant is highly visible in their interactions with patients and must therefore project a positive office image at all times including smiling, greeting patients with enthusiasm, and maintaining an upbeat, positive attitude in all interactions with patients and coworkers.

- Formal training which will probably be indicated by a graduation certificate from an accredited Medical Assistant program.

- Phlebotomy experience is a plus, but not required.

- CPR Certification.

- PC/Windows proficiency.

- Medical coding familiarity.

- Willingness to assign high priority to patient comfort and satisfaction.

- Ability to communicate effectively and to work compatibly with physicians, coworkers, and employees in other departments.
