About this role
JOB SUMMARY: Under the supervision and direction of the Irwin Center Manager, and in his/her absence the Superintendent of Recreation, the Event Set Up person(s) sets up, takes down and cleans the facility and equipment for rentals. ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide outstanding customer service to our internal and external guests by providing friendly, responsive, courteous and helpful service.
- Must be punctual and reliable.
- Complete the entire set up. All exceptions must be reported to your supervisor prior to leaving.
- Communicate any concerns, building needs, suggestions or unexpected items to supervisor.
- If unable to attend scheduled shift, a 48 hours notice to supervisor is required and a replacement staff member
must be found
- Cleaning duties as assigned.
- Adheres to all policies and procedures.
- Adhere to department dress code.
- Maintain a positive public appearance.
- Other related job duties as assigned.
COGNITIVE SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Ability to learn new tasks quickly
- Ability to demonstrate composure and concentration on essential job responsibilities.
- Ability to follow directions from direct supervisor.
- Ability to follow directions from checklists/floor plan
- Ability to demonstrate cooperation, courtesy and consideration with co-workers.
- Ability to work independently, in a group, and with or without continued direction.
- Ability to read and understand the staff schedule and calendar.
Qualifications
JOB SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Works without constant supervision.
- Must have good communication skills.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING:
- 16 years old or older.
- Must have a High School diploma or a GED preferred.
- CPR/AED Certified or able to become certified before working a rental.
